Manage assigned member accounts ensuring they receive valuable support and engagement through the various resources, programs, and opportunities across the organization. Manage account renewal and retention while identifying opportunities for increased membership engagement where applicable. Generate new member leads by promoting membership and programs through networking and prospecting, and effectively communicating the benefits of membership and engagement to prospective members. Close on membership sales and ensure successful onboarding and utilization of membership for new members.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting to identify new membership focused on the businesses needs and how CenterState CEO can assist them.
  • Ensure assigned members receive coordinated and meaningful engagement on an annual basis and develop and implement an annual engagement plan when applicable.
  • Identify and upsell members to move to higher levels of engagement where practical.
  • Promote other CenterState CEO products and services to existing members by encouraging them to take full advantage of their membership; provide members with a full suite of value-added programs, services and events focused on solving core business problems (increased revenue, lower costs, access to capital, just in time intelligence, and government advocacy).
  • Maintain sales documentation and weekly activity report in Salesforce and complete administrative duties, including but not limited to, preparing proposals, expense accounts, retention and sales call schedules, membership reports and creating customer correspondence.
  • Represent CenterState CEO at various networking groups and events to generate and maintain relationships and assist in identifying prospective members.
  • Keep abreast of membership benefits, activities, programs, services and events.
  • Additional duties within the scope of the position may be required.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Education and Experience:

Associate degree plus one to three years of experience in business to business sales or account management preferred. Additional years of experience at a ratio of 2:1 may be considered in lieu of an Associate degree.

Chamber or trade association experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM system preferred.
  • Clearly demonstrate excellence in interpersonal relationships and emotional intelligence.
  • Computer proficiency including word processing, Excel/spreadsheets, and generating reports using standard software applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, both on the telephone and in person.
  • Ability to work independently, determine priorities, make appropriate decisions and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Work well in a diverse environment.
  • Be an enthusiastic self-starter with well-developed administrative, organizational and self-management skills.
  • Ability to listen to, understand and follow directions in English.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Close mental and visual attention required to perform work, verbal communication, using a computer terminal, and/or extensive reading.
  • General office equipment is used.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and push and/or pull up to 20-pound loads at a time relative to event-based equipment.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.

Work Environment:

There is no exposure to known adverse environmental conditions. Work is performed in a typical office work environment.
