We develop and execute a highly targeted policy and government advocacy effort that addresses issues of priority to businesses like yours, and create a unified voice for the region’s business community with key decision makers at all levels of government.

CenterState CEO’s proactive business advocacy and government relations efforts focus on legislative issues and policy areas that support our members, programmatic priorities and economic development strategies, as well as policies critical to enhancing the region’s overall business climate.

Full-time Lobbyist

A full-time lobbyist on staff works directly with legislators and members of the executive branch; advocates on behalf of members by generating calls, lobbying letters, and testimony; secures meetings with government representatives; and serves as a resource for media and speaking events.

Legislative Agenda

Each year CenterState CEO publishes a Legislative Agenda, outlining the economic development policy and legislative priorities for CenterState CEO and its members.

The Lobbying Directory is a comprehensive listing of federal, New York State, and local elected officials in the region. It is a great resource providing a much needed connection between the public and its representatives and their staffs.

Syracuse Tomorrow lobbies and communicates with elected representatives to support pro-business candidates, provide issue advocacy on key business issues, fight anti-business forces on the political turf, participate in voter turn-out initiatives, initiate pro-business, pro-growth, pro-economy activities and conduct election polling.

Government Relations Committee

As part of this committee, members meet with elected officials and policy makers, explore issues, formulate positions, lead lobbying efforts and sponsor events such as the annual Issues Conference.
