Job Summary:
We are seeking reliable, energetic, and customer-focused individuals to support the setup, service, and breakdown of events at INSPYRE Innovation Hub by CenterState. Per Diem Event Staff play a key role in ensuring events run smoothly by preparing spaces, assisting guests, and maintaining a professional presence throughout each event. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and able to thrive in fast-paced environments while consistently delivering excellent guest experiences.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)
Event Setup
- Set up event spaces based on event layouts and instructions, including tables, chairs, linens, and décor.
- Ensure all setup and presentation of the space meet organizational standards for quality, cleanliness, and safety.
Event Support & Service
- Serve as on-site event personnel to support the event from start to finish.
- Clean up trash and maintain cleanliness of space during event.
- Address event or facility issues promptly as they arise.
- Provide friendly, attentive, and professional customer service.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond courteously to inquiries or requests.
Event Breakdown
- Break down and clear event spaces, including furniture, linens, and equipment.
- Reset the venue to its proper condition following company guidelines.
- Store equipment, tables, chairs, and other event items in their proper location.
Teamwork & Compliance
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, colleagues, vendors, and other event personnel.
- Follow and adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and expectations.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a per diem position with hours scheduled based on event needs. Evening and weekend availability are required.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Minimum Required Education and Experience:
- Prior catering, hospitality, restaurant or event experience preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality.
Special Requirements:
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays depending on event schedules.
- Ability to work per diem/on-call depending on event needs.
- Professional appearance and adherence to organizational policies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow event setup instructions accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills; able to collaborate with staff, supervisors, and vendors.
- Ability to remain professional, calm, and responsive in fast-paced environments.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities when interacting with guests and addressing event issues.
- Personal effectiveness, credibility, and reliability.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move 25–40 lbs as required for event setup and breakdown.
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform tasks associated with event preparation and cleanup.
Work Environment:
This role works in an event and professional office setting. The position routinely uses event and office equipment including tables, chairs, carts, phones, cleaning supplies, and basic audiovisual items. Noise levels vary depending on events.
