Science is EVERYWHERE. Will you join us in sharing what you love about the MOST and contribute to our journey of inspiring curious minds with science? Taxpayers age 70.5 and older can directly transfer up to $100,000 per year from their IRA to the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science & Technology (MOST)! You will not receive a charitable deduction, but you will not have to pay taxes on the distribution - even better! Due to your adjusted gross income (AGI) being lower, you will also benefit from other tax provisions attached to AGI, such as your taxable Social Security income and cost associated with Medicare B insurance premiums for higher-income earners. As an added bonus, your transfer counts directly toward your annual required minimum distribution. If you would like to take advantage of this great tax benefit in support of the MOST, make a direct transfer from your IRA to the Museum by December 31. The MOST will then provide the necessary acknowledgement to prove the deduction. Thank you for supporting the MOST's mission! P.S. Giving shares of stock or mutual funds may provide certain tax benefits. The MOST Foundation is also able to accept donations of appreciated securities or 401K mandatory distributions. |
