The OCC Foundation, which specializes in helping students meet all of the challenges they face from food insecurity and technology needs to tuition aid, has created the Lazer Response Fund to assist students negatively impacted by coronavirus or COVID-19. The fundraising goal is $100,000. Donations can be made at http://www.sunyocc.edu/response.

“The Coronavirus pandemic has created new challenges for everyone, but for many OCC students who were already stretched to the limit, they are now pushed to the breaking point with lost jobs, gaping technology holes, and kids and families to juggle. The Lazer Response Fund will support our students who face tremendous challenges in this unprecedented situation. We ask everyone to help our students stay #lazerstrong, finish the semester, and continue to pursue their educational goals,” said OCC President Dr. Casey Crabill.
