(Oswego, NY – June 22, 2026) Oswego Health Medical Practice continues to expand access to specialty care across Central New York with the addition of Tammi Worden, FNP-C, to its Center for Gastroenterology & Metabolic Diseases.

A board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Worden brings nearly two decades of nursing experience and a strong clinical background in oncology, infusion therapy, acute care, and interventional radiology. Her diverse experience caring for patients with complex medical conditions makes her a valuable addition to Oswego Health's growing gastroenterology team.

Born in Watertown and raised in Ellisburg, New York, Worden has dedicated her career to caring for patients throughout Northern and Central New York. She earned her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner from Utica University and most recently practiced in Interventional Radiology at Samaritan Medical Center.

Her decision to pursue gastroenterology is deeply personal. Growing up, Worden witnessed her mother navigate the challenges of living with Crohn's disease, giving her firsthand insight into the impact chronic digestive conditions can have on patients and their families.

"Tammi brings both exceptional clinical experience and genuine compassion to our gastroenterology program," said Mohammad Fahad Ali, MD, FACG, FASGE, DABOM, Chief of Gastroenterology & Hepatology. "Her patient-centered approach and commitment to building meaningful relationships with those she serves align perfectly with our mission of providing high-quality, personalized care close to home."

The Center for Gastroenterology & Metabolic Diseases provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management for a wide range of digestive and metabolic health conditions. The practice combines advanced technology with personalized care to help patients achieve better digestive health and improved quality of life.

Worden joins an experienced team that includes gastroenterologists including Mohammad Fahad Ali, MD, FACG, FASGE, DABOM, Suri Karthikeyan, MD, MRCP (UK), FRCP-C, and Sharon Snover, Adult NP-C, MSN along with advanced practice providers dedicated to delivering coordinated, patient-focused care across the region.

"I chose Oswego Health because I value the close-knit, community-focused environment that reminds me of the small town where I grew up," said Worden. "Having watched my mother live with Crohn's disease, I understand how important it is for patients to have providers who listen, care, and truly understand what they're going through. Gastroenterology is a specialty where you have the opportunity to build long-term relationships and really get to know your patients. I believe in spending time with people, learning their story, and partnering with them throughout their healthcare journey. That's the kind of care I strive to provide every day."
