Coming to SUNY Oswego on February 18th: Manual Cinema’s The 4th Witch is a spellbinding reimagining of Shakespeare's Macbeth, told through stunning shadow puppetry, silhouetted actors, and live music.
On the eve of an invasion led by the warlord Macbeth, a young girl escapes a brutal attack on her town and flees into a dark forest. Orphaned and alone, she is taken in by a witch and trained in magic. As her power grows, her grief and rage draw her into a quest for vengeance against the warlord who killed her parents: Macbeth.
The 4th Witch explores grief, war, and the devastating cycles of violence left in their wake. Visually breathtaking and emotionally haunting, this unforgettable theatrical experience lingers long after the final shadow fades.
