Job Quality, Worker Voice and Supportive Services

Syracuse Surge è un piano comunitario inclusivo per dare il via alla crescita economica e alla trasformazione dei quartieri di Syracuse e Central New York . La città di Syracuse e CenterState CEO , con il supporto di SUNY EOC, OCM BOCES, e Onondaga Community College , si sono allineati con i datori di lavoro locali per lanciare diversi programmi di formazione professionale Syracuse Surge per preparare una forza lavoro locale con competenze tecnologiche per l'economia odierna.

Bridge to Manufacturing

A collaborative program to help underrepresented populations (women, people of color, un/underemployed) access higher education opportunities that lead to careers at Micron and other advanced manufacturing employers. Through Bridge, participants undergo career exploration, barrier mitigation and skill development to ensure success in the Electromechanical Technology A.A.S. program at Onondaga Community College.

Services: career exploration, basic needs (food, housing, transportation, childcare, etc.), employer panel/tours, math, reading/English, college readiness, financial aid support.

Vehicles to Work

Transportation barrier removal program with the goal of assisting those we serve with obtaining reliable transportation to get to training or work. This program provides legal advice, DMV record review and repair, vehicle repair assistance, financial coaching, access to financial assistance include auto loan. Currently operating in Syracuse, Oswego, Mohawk Valley and Tompkins counties. Led by Westcott Community Center in collaboration with Cooperative Federal Credit Union for auto loan assistance.
