Syracuse Surge est un plan communautaire inclusif visant à stimuler la croissance économique et la transformation des quartiers à Syracuse et Central New York . La ville de Syracuse et CenterState CEO , avec le soutien de SUNY EOC, OCM BOCES, et Onondaga Community College , se sont associés aux employeurs locaux pour lancer plusieurs programmes de formation professionnelle Syracuse Surge afin de préparer une main-d'œuvre locale dotée de compétences technologiques pour l'économie d'aujourd'hui.

Bridge to ManufacturingA collaborative program to help underrepresented populations (women, people of color, un/underemployed) access higher education opportunities that lead to careers at Micron and other advanced manufacturing employers. Through Bridge, participants undergo career exploration, barrier mitigation and skill development to ensure success in the Electromechanical Technology A.A.S. program at Onondaga Community College.

Vehicles to WorkTransportation barrier removal program with the goal of assisting job seekers with obtaining reliable transportation to get to training or work. This program provides legal advice, DMV record review and repair, vehicle repair assistance, financial coaching and access to financial assistance include an auto loan. Vehicles to Work is currently operating in Syracuse, Oswego, Mohawk Valley and Tompkins counties and is led by Westcott Community Center in collaboration with Cooperative Federal Credit Union for auto loan assistance. |
