Syracuse Surge is een inclusief gemeenschapsplan om economische groei en buurttransformatie in Syracuse en Central New York te stimuleren. De stad Syracuse en CenterState CEO , met steun van SUNY EOC, OCM BOCES, en Onondaga Community College , hebben zich aangesloten bij lokale werkgevers om verschillende Syracuse Surge jobtrainingsprogramma's te lanceren om een lokale beroepsbevolking voor te bereiden met technische vaardigheden voor de economie van vandaag.

Programs & Pathways

Upstate Build is expanding local capacity to meet the region’s growing demand for construction workers while creating clear and inclusive pathways into the industry. In collaboration with regional trade unions and training providers, Upstate Build is increasing the number of apprentices entering the construction workforce and improving diversity within apprenticeship programs. Early results show strong outcomes in job placement, credential attainment and employer engagement, positioning Syracuse Build as a scalable model for workforce development across New York State.

Get Involved

Upstate Build welcomes collaboration with organizations that share the goal of strengthening the region’s construction workforce.

For contractors and unions: Partner with Upstate Build to access a pipeline of trained and work-ready candidates for current and future projects.

For community organizations: Join our network to support local recruitment, provide supportive services, or invest in training and equipment that expand opportunities across the region. Community organizations can also learn how to become intermediaries in their own communities to help lead and sustain this work.
