Turning Stone Resort Casino’s 2025 Gingerbread Village Named One the World’s Most Over-the-Top Hotel Gingerbread Displays by Forbes Travel Guide

The “Holidays Around the World” themed village earns international acclaim and joins an impressive list of eight displays spanning the globe

Oneida Indian Nation Homelands (December 17, 2025) – One of the most “Over-the-Top Hotel Gingerbread Displays” can be found in Upstate New York, according to Forbes Travel Guide. Turning Stone Resort Casino has once again been recognized by the prestigious publication for its holiday gingerbread creation, this time with a “Holidays Around the World” theme for 2025. The Turning Stone Gingerbread Village is one of eight to make the international list with other festive locales in Europe and Asia.

Forbes Travel Guide praised the display saying:

“Travel the world with the Four-Star hotel’s spectacular gingerbread village. This Upstate New York getaway’s holiday cookie constructions consistently amaze, and this year’s display, inspired by international celebrations, is no exception. From the Japanese log cabin and English farmhouse to the Italian train station and German carousel, every element has been painstakingly executed by the talented pastry team. For the elaborate display, which includes a  train that runs through the village, bakers utilized 1,000 pounds of royal icing, 400 pounds of gingerbread, 20 gallons of molasses, 100 pounds of fondant and an astonishing 700 pounds of candy.”

Each year, the Turning Stone Pastry team distinguishes itself as one of the best in the world by creating the resort’s Gingerbread Village, one of the region’s most highly anticipated holiday traditions. This year’s display was inspired by the diversity of Turning Stone Resort Casino’s team members, who represent more than 70 countries.

“We take great pride in welcoming guests from near and far to Turning Stone Resort Casino to experience our world-renowned Gingerbread Village,” said Ray Halbritter, Oneida Indian Nation Representative and CEO of Turning Stone Enterprises. “For our extraordinary pastry team, no detail is too small— the passion, creativity and craftsmanship that go into bringing the village to life are truly a sight to behold. Congratulations to all of our team members for being recognized for the exceptional hospitality and dedication that help make Turning Stone Resort Casino a world-class resort and must-see destination in Upstate New York.”

Turning Stone Resort Casino was also recognized by Forbes Travel Guide in 2025 with the prestigious Four-Star Awards for The Lodge, Sk^:n^:  Spa, TS Steakhouse and Wildflowers.

The Gingerbread Village is open daily through New Year’s Day and is located near the main entrance of the resort by The Commons shopping boutiques.
