Christopher Community Welcomes Ghyra Cannon as Director of HR Operations

Christopher Community, Inc. (CCI), one of Central and Western New York's largest providers of affordable housing, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ghyra Cannon as its new Director of HR Operations.

Cannon brings extensive human resources leadership experience to Christopher Community, including expertise in employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance, benefits administration and HR operations. Most recently, she served as a Personnel Analyst in a managerial-level role with the Syracuse City School District, where she partnered with leaders across multiple departments to provide strategic human resources support and advance organizational initiatives.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Western Governors University. Cannon also holds the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification and is currently preparing to earn her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.

A lifelong Central New York resident, Cannon enjoys exploring new restaurants, spending time with her family and traveling.
