SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Last month, local security provider Eastern Security Services celebrated a major milestone: 50 years in business.
The occasion was marked with a company barbecue at their new headquarters in Franklin Square, attended by team members from all four office locations. The celebration also featured a drone tour of the new space and the reveal of a custom mural— both created in partnership with fellow local businesses.
Over the past five decades, Eastern Security Services has protected homes, businesses, schools, hospitals, financial institutions, and more across the state. In 2023, operations expanded to Rochester and Buffalo, leading the company to double the size of its team.
Eastern's commitment to its employees and community has not gone unnoticed. The company has been recognized as one of CNY's Best Places to Work for consecutive years, earned multiple Family Business Awards, and was named an Economic Champion for its continued investment in Central New York. Most recently, CenterState CEO honored Eastern Security Services as CNY's Business of the Year (under 50 employees).
Company President Cooper MacDonnell credited the achievement to his staff:
"Thank you to our entire team. This recognition belongs to them, and their dedication to protecting our customers and making our community safer every day."
Last year alone, the company, which holds an overall Google rating of 4.9, responded to nearly 100,000 alarms across the state, maintaining an average response time of just 12 seconds.
While many homeowners and small businesses in 2026 opt for DIY kits or national brands, Eastern’s continued growth proves the unmatched value of an experienced, local provider. Built on reliability and a dedicated team— many of whom boast tenures of 20 to 30 years, Eastern Security Services looks forward to its next half-century of keeping New York safe.
