Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) is the gateway to Central New York and beyond, serving as a powerful economic engine for the region. SYR serves more than three million passengers annually from communities across Central New York. Eight airlines currently provide convenient nonstop service directly to 29 destinations from Syracuse. The airport is operated by the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA), a public benefit corporation established in 2011 to foster the development of safe, secure, and efficient aviation services for the region.
CenterState CEO members recognize the importance of convenient, competitive air service. CenterState CEO, in partnership with the SRAA, works directly with airlines to attract new flights, reduce fares, and promote use of the airport. CenterState CEO members have also advocated for several key business amenities at the airport, such as free, fast Wi-Fi; laptop stations, expedited TSA PreCheck lanes, and parking enhancements. Travelers can now reserve their parking months in advance via the airport's website and a complimentary airport parking shuttle has eliminated long walks from parking lots to the terminal.
Recent large-scale terminal expansions have increased the food and beverage offerings available to travelers, including the elevated, award-winning, and business traveler-friendly experience found in the Escape Lounge. Recent terminal expansions have created spacious, comfortable gate hold seating areas for guests to enjoy the inviting airfield views. The recently completed state-of-the-art Customs and Border Protection Federal Inspection Station enhances the airport's ability to support international passenger and cargo service.
