CenterState CEO’s unique work has drawn the attention of national foundations and partners, establishing it and the region as a best practice model in the areas of regional economic development, sustainability, and equity.
CenterState CEO has engaged with the Brookings Institution on a variety of initiatives over the past decade, including the development of a Metropolitan Business Plan (MBP) and a Metropolitan Export Initiative (MEI) in collaboration with numerous stakeholders across the 12-county CenterState NY region to create a renewed regional economic development and business growth strategy. |

Through its Work Train initiative, CenterState CEO serves as a partner in the National Fund for Workforce Solutions’ regional collaborative network. The National Fund “invests in a dynamic national network of about 30 communities taking a demand-driven, evidence-based approach to workforce development.” This partnership has enabled CenterState CEO to build, scale, and replicate employer-led, worker informed initiatives to help employers train, attract, advance, and retain skilled and diverse employees, by offering quality jobs along family sustaining career pathways and more welcoming workplaces. This relationship has helped CenterState CEO and its network of public, industry, and community-based partners design strategies that have connected over 1,000 residents with quality jobs.
