CenterState CEO works to keep you informed about changes that may directly affect your business and employees. With this in mind, we want to make you aware of an upcoming change to the New York State Department of Labor's (NYSDOL) Unemployment Insurance system. NYSDOL is retiring its 50-year-old unemployment processing system and replacing it with a modern platform that will include smartphone access and expanded assistive technology support. To complete the transition, the current system is scheduled to shut down at 5 p.m. on Nov. 2, 2026. The outage is expected to last nine to 12 days.
For more information on the shutdown and how it may affect benefit payments, read this Syracuse.com story. NYSDOL also has established a dedicated page with updates and information about the transition:dol.ny.gov/unemployment.
