Regional Projects Bring More Construction Opportunity to Central New York

Local partners are working together to help community members learn how to take part in the growing number of construction opportunities in Central New York. Syracuse Build supported by CenterState CEO, with NYS Department of Labor and CNY Works, are hosting information sessions for those interested in jobs in construction and building trades.
Information sessions are held each Tuesday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at CNY Works, 960 James Street in Syracuse.
No experience or registration is required. Session topics include:
- Step by step instructions on how to join a local construction union
- Benefits of union membership
- Job opportunities and qualifications needed to work for regional construction projects
- Training programs and apprenticeships
- Resume writing and job interview strategies
