The Oswego County Office for the Aging invites residents, caregivers, advocates, and community members to participate in Oswego County's Alzheimer's and Dementia Awareness Event on Thursday, June 18, at the Oswego Farmers' Market. The evening will begin with a brief greeting and remarks at 5 p.m., followed by a community walk at approximately 5:20 p.m. along the "Healthy Mile" route crossing the Bridge Street and Utica Street bridges. Participants are encouraged to wear purple in recognition of Alzheimer's and dementia awareness and to gather near the purple balloons at the market. The event provides an opportunity to honor loved ones, support caregivers, raise awareness, and demonstrate the community's commitment to those impacted by Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. For additional information, contact Elizabeth Weimer at 315-349-3570.
