AmeriCU’s Wilson named NYCUA’s 2020 Outstanding Young Professional

Posted on June 24, 2020

Rome, NY – June 25, 2020: Kaleb Wilson, Financial Center Manager for AmeriCU’s Cortland location, has been selected as the New York Credit Union Association’s 2020 Outstanding Young Professional.

“[Wilson’s] exemplary accomplishments and dedication to the credit union are unmatched, and the Awards Committee believes it highly fitting that [he] receive this recognition,” wrote John C. Gibardi, the Awards Committee Chair for the New York Credit Union Association.

Each year, the Association’s Recognition Awards honor credit unions and individuals for their exceptional contributions to the credit union movement and the members they serve. To be recognized as an Outstanding Young Professional, an individual must exemplify the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people’. Wilson is a standout in his community: he is the current President of the Central New York Chapter of the NYCUA, current Vice-Chair for the Young Professionals Commission (YPC), and is a trustee for the New York Credit Union Foundation.

“Kaleb has demonstrated not only a dedication to our membership but to the Cortland community as a whole,” said Michael Smith, Assistant Vice President of Financial Services for AmeriCU. “His leadership and support in our organization and on several community initiatives has been indispensable.”

Wilson was formally recognized during the Association’s Annual Meeting, which was held virtually on June 15.
