Beardsley Architects + Engineers Celebrates 125 Years of Service

Posted on November 17, 2023

Auburn, N.Y. – Founded in 1898 by Samuel Hillger in Auburn, New York, Beardsley Architects + Engineers is proud to announce that the firm is celebrating their 125th anniversary this year, having provided architectural and engineering services to clients across New York State and beyond for over a century.

Beardsley has experienced many triumphs, challenges, and changes over the course of the firm’s history. Just as the dynamics of the world have grown and changed, so too has Beardsley. What started as a small firm in Auburn, NY, has grown to now nearly 60 people across four offices in New York State, providing design services to clients that include governmental entities, educational institutions, private and affordable housing, not-for-profit organizations, and commercial groups. Throughout its history, Beardsley has remained an employee-owned company with a unique and steadfast commitment to our clients, employees, and communities throughout New York State. Beardsley’s legacy as part of the Auburn community and New York State is evident in the many buildings designed by Beardsley that are still in use today.

“We’re proud to have served our clients for 125 years and we’re honored to be able to continue that legacy into the future,” says President Joseph S. Kime, P.E. “As our team grows and our services expand, we hope that our collective efforts will help the firm to thrive for another 125 years and more.”
