Cahill Pier Grand Opening Celebration Aug. 16

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a ribbon cutting declaring the new pier officially open to the public, followed by live music featuring The SkyCoasters. The event is open to the public. The new William S. Cahill Pier project is the final waterfront improvement project to be completed under the Barlow administration. The almost $10 million project transformed the abandoned coal trestle into a waterfront community park on the pier.
