Share the Warmth

Continuing the tradition: United Way of Central New York, COR Development Company, Community Bank, and OneGroup are collecting new and gently used coats and other essential items that will be given to local men, women, and children in need through January 16.

Syracuse, NY – Start the new year by making a difference! COR Development Company, in partnership with United Way of Central New York, Community Bank, and OneGroup, are proud to continue their annual tradition of hosting the Share the Warmth Drive. This longstanding initiative, which began on December 1, invites the community to donate new and gently used coats and essential winter items for individuals and families in need. Contributions will be accepted through January 16th, providing an extended opportunity for everyone to participate in this meaningful cause.

All donated items will be sorted, packed, and distributed during the 23rd Annual MLK Day of Service on January 20. Essential items such as new and gently used coats, scarves, hats, sweatshirts, hoodies, mittens, gloves, and new socks are especially needed to help families stay warm this winter.

“This annual event is an opportunity to give back while clearing out your closet for the New Year. With the incredible support of partners like United Way of Central New York, Community Bank, and OneGroup along with the generosity of our donors, we’ve been able to make a lasting impact in our community. Together, we’re providing warmth and comfort to families in need, ensuring they have essential items to face the harsh winter months” said Merissa Lynch, Marketing Manager for COR Development.

“United Way of Central New York is excited to partner, once again, with COR Development, Community Bank, and OneGroup to “Share the Warmth.” There is a great need for essentials like warm winter clothing, for men, women, and children in Central New York. We’re grateful for the many who give, donate, and volunteer to support individuals and families in need, in our community.” said Nancy Eaton, president of United Way of Central New York.

“We’re excited to partner once again with COR Development Company for the Share the Warmth Drive,”  Lindsay Weichert, Community Bank Central New York Regional President and United Way Board Member said. “COR Development Company has done a fantastic job leading this tradition of providing warmth to our neighbors in need and we are grateful to support these efforts.
