50th Anniversary CNY SHRM

In 2024, the Central New York chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management (CNY SHRM) is proud to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Please join us on social media with hashtag #CNYSHRM50 to help us celebrate!

Since 1974, CNY SHRM has been a pillar of the local Human Resources community, proudly serving to advance the HR profession and support the development of local HR professionals and organization leaders in all stages of their careers. Over the past five decades, the chapter has grown its membership to include over 450 members across Central New York, with a diverse membership representing more than 300 companies across various industries and practices.

Today, the chapter continues to serve as a vital resource for HR professionals in the Central New York region. As CNY SHRM marks its 50th anniversary, it also looks forward to the future with renewed commitment. Building on a strong foundation, CNY SHRM will continue to:

  • Support the development of HR professionals through educational programs and legislative updates
  • Building a strong local HR community through in-person and virtual networking events
  • Give back to local organizations through sponsorships, charitable contributions and volunteering
  • Provide critical resources and support in all areas of HR to our valued members

CNY SHRM is planning a number of ways to celebrate its milestone anniversary in 2024, including themed raffles and giveaways throughout the year, the launch of member and volunteer recognition programs, and other upcoming initiatives that will add value to its membership.

Members are encouraged to share their thoughts, memories, and congratulatory messages on social media using the hashtag #CNYSHRM50.
