Douglas Crego and Matt Nicholl Join Solvay Bank

SYRACUSE, NY — Solvay Bank, the oldest community bank established in Onondaga County, welcomes Douglas Crego and Matt Nicholl to the commercial banking team.

Douglas Crego recently joined Solvay Bank as a Vice President, Senior Commercial Loan Officer, Team Leader in the Solvay main office. He brings over twenty-five years of vast experience in the Banking sector to Solvay Bank, working for a range of reputable financial institutions.  Crego serves as Team Leader for the commercial department and specializes in business banking. He is a current resident of Honeoye Falls in Rochester and services business clients throughout Central New York.  Crego is committed to leadership in the community and has been an active volunteer in schools, youth sports, chambers, and business groups. He also is a former Junior College Basketball Coach.

Matt Nicholl recently joined Solvay Bank as a Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer in the Mohawk Valley. He specializes in business banking with over twenty years of experience in the banking industry.  Nicholl is based in New Hartford and will play a key role in Solvay Bank’s commercial banking expansion into the Mohawk Valley market.  He is active in the local community currently serving as Board Member and President for the United Way of Mohawk Valley, Board Member of the Mohawk Valley EDGE, and National Board Member for The Reading League. Nicholl is a Mohawk Valley Class of 2018 40 Under Forty Recipient, a 2018 Striving for Success Honoree, a 2016 Leadership Mohawk Valley (LMV) Follow the Leader Award Recipient, and a graduate of the 25th Anniversary Class of LMV.
