Experienced Commercial Real Estate Attorney Joins Harris Beach Murtha

(Feb. 18, 2025) — A seasoned attorney with experience as in-house legal counsel at a multinational conglomerate and as general manager and counsel for a commercial real estate syndicate is joining Harris Beach Murtha’s Commercial Real Estate Practice Group and Real Estate Developers Industry Team.

Senior Counsel Michael Murabito joins a team of attorneys and other professionals who represents commercial developers, institutional lenders, corporations, partnerships, nonprofits and other entities in the development, finance, sale, purchase and leasing of commercial real estate. The team’s work encompasses shopping centers, senior living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, colleges, schools, office parks, industrial projects, retail developments and more.

Michael handles leasing and negotiations; purchase and sale agreements; drafting contracts, operating agreements, and financial legal instruments; searching titles and closing sales; and compliance associated with environmental regulations and processes, occupational health and safety (OSHA) and corporate governance. His deep understanding of business operations and compliance, forged through years of experience in operations for a large multinational conglomerate, enables Michael to effectively collaborate with clients to mitigate risks and resolve challenges for business success.

Before joining Harris Beach Murtha, Michael served as general manager and counsel for a commercial real estate syndicate with property comprised of medical facilities, logistic companies, state offices, schools, retail businesses and more. Michael manages and counsels on leasing and tenant negotiations; letters of intent and requests for proposals; construction, including architectural development and engineering; property management; environmental compliance; commercial and vendor contracts; employment agreements; commercial real estate brokerage agreements; and various litigation matters consisting of breach of contract, property disputes, lien enforcement and tenant evictions.
