The Friends of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo will host its annual LGBTQ+ Family Day of Visibility presented by BEyond Powered by NYPENN on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Community members are invited to the zoo to celebrate the rainbow of diversity that enriches our community with the LGBTQ+ Day of Visibility on Sunday, May 5. The event will feature special creature chats, exhibitors, entertainment, activities for all, and more.
“We are thrilled to celebrate our LGBTQ+ community with Family Day of Visibility at the zoo. " Said Friends of the Zoo Executive Director, Carrie Large. “Inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do, and we are proud to provide a welcoming space where every family feels seen, valued, and celebrated.
During the event, over 15 of LGBTQ+ friendly exhibitors will be on zoo grounds to offer activities, interactive entertainment, and educational materials. BEyond Powered by NYPENN serves as the event’s presenting sponsor, with other supporting sponsors also helping to make the event a fun, enjoyable day to honor families of all shapes, sizes, and forms. Wildlife conservation is for everyone, and the Friends of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo is proud to affirm our commitment to community diversity with this event.
