Friends of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo to Host Senior Citizen Appreciation Day

The Friends of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo will host a FREE, early-morning celebration for senior citizens. Senior Citizen Appreciation Day, presented by Hill Insurance Service, LLC, will take place at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Packed with senior-exclusive experiences, Senior Citizens Appreciation Day, presented by Hill Insurance Service, LLC, is specially designed for those 62 and over! The event will feature free admission to the zoo for senior citizens from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., complimentary continental breakfast from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., access to the zoo grounds prior to opening, a variety of senior-specific exhibitors, and even informative talks about caring for some of the senior animals at the zoo, such as a demonstration of our elephants practicing yoga to keep their joints mobile.
