The leading national magazine touted The Cove’s many family-friendly activities and said it was “a glorious new option for a vacay with extended family.” The Cove and its flagship store and café, Sylvan Beach Supply Co., will open for the season tomorrow, May 5. Sylvan Beach Supply Co. offers a wide selection of lake activity rentals including pontoon and fishing boats, canoes, kayaks, water bikes, paddle boards, bicycles, fishing gear and more. The café is bringing back its popular menu of burgers, gourmet sandwiches, pastries, Instagramable ice cream sundaes, and its expansive candy wall loaded with a ton of candy, literally. 

Oneida Indian Nation Homelands (May 4, 2023) – Good Housekeeping magazine featured The Cove at Sylvan Beach as one of the “12 Best Places to Visit This Summer.” The leading national magazine touted The Cove’s many family-friendly activities and said it was “a glorious new option for a vacay with extended family.” Other resorts featured on the global list include Nickelodeon Resorts in Punta Cana, Magma Resort in Santorini, Greece and Hotel Esencia in Tulum, Mexico. The Cove and its flagship store and café, Sylvan Beach Supply Co., will open for the 2023 season, May 5.

Central New Yorkers can experience the huge selection of daily lake activity rentals at Sylvan Beach Supply Co., as well as enjoy a quick two-night getaway during the early summer season at The Cove.  Lake activity rentals include pontoon boats, fishing boats, canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, water bikes, bicycles, water skis, fishing gear and more. Sylvan Beach Supply Co. is also bringing back its popular café menu packed with sandwiches, quick bites and a variety of Instagramable ice cream sundaes and milkshakes. The creamy ice cream in large portions was a local favorite during last year’s inaugural summer.

Sylvan Beach Supply Co. is also home to one of the largest candy walls in Upstate New York with a literal TON (2,000 pounds) of candy in 80 different varieties.  With chocolate, peanut butter, taffy, hard candies, and fourteen flavors of jelly beans, the candy wall is the perfect place for kids of all ages to satisfy their sweet tooth this summer – and makes for a great photo opportunity. 

With several outdoor seating options, guests are invited to enjoy their treats from the café canalside and watch the boats go by.  Guests are also able to dock their boats right at Sylvan Beach Supply Co. and grab all the essentials for a day on the water. There are several boat slips for guests to use.

The Cove at Sylvan Beach features 70 two- and three-bedroom cottages, all inclusive of their own pontoon boat. The lakeside vacation rental destination showcases the best of Upstate New York with beautifully appointed accommodations featuring full eat-in kitchens, gas grills, fire pits, and other amenities. The Cove is intended for kids of all ages and features a “Tree-Mendous” playground complete with a buoy zip line and swings, and also a heated in-ground pool for overnight guests.
