Hummel’s Office Plus Expands to State Capital with Acquisition

MOHAWK — Hummel’s Office Plus, the largest independently owned office products dealer in Central New York, acquired Latham–based Workplace Central- Albany on August 1, 2020. Financial terms of the deal remain confidential.

Workplace Central-Albany will change its name to Hummel’s Office Plus and continue to operate from its location at 776C Watervliet-Shaker Rd., Latham, NY. Hummel’s will retain all
Workplace Central-Albany employees and continue to service commercial delivery accounts.

We are proud of the history of both companies and remain focused on bringing the very best solution to our customers while they procure their business products,” Hummel’s CEO Justin Hummel said. "We believe that this merger is in the best interest of our customers and employees.

The merger of Hummel’s Office Plus and Workplace Central-Albany results in enhanced knowledge and expertise in the areas of office supplies, office furniture, technology, janitorial and break room products. It also brings Hummel’s Central New York employee base to nearly 100.
