The Landmark Theatre Facilities Improvements

Syracuse, NY – The Landmark Theatre has been hard at work over the summer, making some fantastic updates to our beloved theatre to ensure its long-term preservation and to improve the customer experience.

Facilities Improvements

Restroom Expansion - The Landmark has expanded the main floor women's restroom by adding nine more stalls, including one additional ADA stall and one ambulatory stall. The ambulatory stall is wider and features grab bars for patrons with canes, walkers, or crutches. This expansion adds women’s restroom stalls where they are used the most, and was made possible by all of those who have contributed to the 10,000 Flushes Fundraiser or the Central New York Community Foundation’s Landmark Theatre Fund.
Auditorium Roof and Masonry - With support from a New York State Capital Grant secured by Assemblyman William Magnarelli, the Landmark has replaced the auditorium roof and made necessary repairs to the surrounding masonry. This work will improve the Landmark’s energy efficiency and ensure that our auditorium and lobbies remain water-tight, a crucial step before auditorium restoration can begin.
Lobby Restoration -The Landmark engaged A Greene Shop to restore damaged plaster in the main level of the lobby, and scenic artist Bari Tassinaro to restore chipped and faded paint. In combination with our semi-annual carpet deep cleaning and the cleaning and re-lamping of our lobby chandeliers, the lobbies will look and feel like new.

Upcoming Fall Schedule

The Landmark has an extraordinary lineup of events scheduled through the end of 2023 with 14 auditorium events and three lobby events surrounding our six performances of Mean Girls and eight performances of Disney’s ALADDIN. This fall we have rock, hip hop, country, and Motown favorite. We have world class comedy, films with live music, and family shows, and more. And there is still more that hasn’t been announced. There’s something for everyone on the Landmark’s fall schedule.
