Marathon Energy to Supply OCM BOCES with Electricity & Natural Gas Marathon Energy is pleased to announce that it has entered into a three-year electricity supply agreement with the Onondaga-Cortland-Madison Board of Cooperative Educational Services (OCM BOCES). Marathon will be powering the majority of the 23 school districts and municipalities throughout the region, acting as administrative participant for the New York School and Municipal Energy Consortium (NYSMEC). Marathon also renewed its existing natural gas supply contract for select OCM BOCES locations, for an additional three-year term.

It was created in 1948 for the purpose of providing shared services across school district boundaries throughout Onondaga, Cortland and Madison counties. OCM BOCES offers Career & Technical Education programs in hands-on trades such as welding, construction, auto technology, culinary arts, and health-related occupations. It also offers Special Education services, alternative education programs, instructional support for educators, a variety of management services for districts, and technology support for schools through the Central New York Regional Information Center.
