After serving as a managing director of Park Strategies for more than 13 years, Joe Rossi struck out on his own to offer his field operations and government relations services. Rossi established Modern Advocacy in February, and promptly helped Sharon Owens make history as Syracuse’s first Black mayor. One of the state’s top cannabis lobbyists, Rossi has also urged Gov. Kathy Hochul to overhaul the state’s Office of Cannabis Management and launched Empire State Green Standard Alliance, a consumer advocacy initiative to ensure cannabis product safety and hold state officials accountable.
City & State’s Who’s Who in Political Consulting & Communications puts a spotlight on the PR and political comms pros who are on the front lines of the biggest campaigns in New York and beyond.
