Nave Law Firm Recognizes American Red Cross of Central and Northern New York as May's Nave's Neighbor

The American Red Cross shelters, feeds, and provides comfort to victims of disasters; supplies approximately 40% of the nation's blood; teaches skills that save lives; and supports veterans, military members, and their families. The Central and Northern New York Chapter serves Onondaga, Oswego, Madison, Oneida, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence counties.

What distinguishes the Red Cross is not only the breadth of its mission but how it is carried out. Volunteers perform nearly 90% of the organization's humanitarian work, responding to disasters, staffing blood drives, and providing steady support to families in crisis. This May also marks the 145th anniversary of the American Red Cross. A milestone that speaks to 145 years of showing up when communities need it most.

The region currently faces an ongoing need for blood donations. Summer is one of the most challenging seasons for blood collection, as high schools and colleges — major sources of blood drives — are closed, and travel patterns shift. The need for blood, however, remains constant. Community members who are eligible are encouraged to find a local drive and donate.
