NBT Bank’s Investment in Downtown Office Lights Up Albany Skyline

Albany, NY (September 23, 2024) – NBT Bank achieved a visible milestone in the progress toward the opening of its new regional headquarters in downtown Albany with the recent installation of a lighted NBT Bank sign atop the building located at 677 Broadway.

Later this year, more than 40 employees will move into 15,000 square-feet of new Class A office space on the fifth floor of 677 Broadway. NBT is establishing this new regional headquarters to demonstrate its commitment to Downtown Albany and to accommodate its expanding workforce in the region. The company plans to maintain its current Capital Region Financial Center at 80 Wolf Road. The Wolf Road location includes a full-service branch, ATM and office space for over 35 employees.

In addition, NBT has signed a lease at 51 Luther Forest Boulevard in Malta for a 1,325-square-foot retail location. Pending regulatory approval, this office is anticipated to be operational in the fourth quarter of 2024.

“The NBT Bank team is excited to add the beautiful new office space at 677 Broadway to our local presence,” said Regional President and President of Wealth Management Ruth Mahoney. “It provides a central meeting point within the seven-state NBT footprint for our employees and customers and further reinforces our commitment to the region and the local economy. We also look forward to enhancing our network of locations with a convenient new branch in Malta.”

NBT Bank has been active in the Capital Region since 2000 and currently has a network of 26 branches serving Albany, Fulton, Montgomery, Renssalaer, Saratoga, Schoharie and Warren counties.
