OPT Launches Real-Time Tracking for Fixed-Route BusesPosted on December 16, 2025 |
|
Oswego County Public Transit has extended its real-time bus tracking capability, previously available for its curb-to-curb ACCESS service, to fixed-route Oswego Public Transportation (OPT) buses with a new live tracker accessible at oswego.etaspot.net, powered by ETA Transit Systems’ SPOT platform, which displays bus locations on an interactive map, lets users click on buses or stops for next-arrival times and shows multiple routes and schedules in real time.
The feature, which is being integrated into the Ride Oswego County app, enables riders, staff and stakeholders to see where buses are, next stop arrival information and schedule adherence beyond printed timetables, adding visibility and transparency to OPT operations.
This public site does not require a login and supports trip planning by showing upcoming stops and arrival predictions, making it useful for riders planning trips, monitoring service reliability and helping committee members understand day-to-day service performance.
