Cannibis Survey Flier

Oswego County, NY – [September 11th 2024] – The Oswego County Prevention Coalition is excited to announce the launch of its 2024 Cannabis Opinions and Use Survey, open to all county residents aged 18 and over. This survey, funded by a grant from the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), aims to gather valuable data on local residents' views and concerns regarding legalized cannabis use compared to other substances.

Building on the success of last year’s survey, the 2024 edition will help the Coalition understand how public opinion has shifted since the legalization of cannabis. It will also provide insights into concerns surrounding cannabis and other substances, with the goal of developing targeted strategies to address those concerns.

“There just isn’t a lot of localized data at the county level when it comes to cannabis use due to its recent legalization,” said Travis Bulluck, Community Coalition Manager for the Oswego County Prevention Coalition. “This survey is crucial for understanding how residents feel about cannabis and other substances, and it will help guide our prevention and education efforts moving forward.”

The survey is completely anonymous and takes approximately 7–10 minutes to complete. The information collected will also be used to explore how the Coalition can improve substance use prevention messaging across the county.

The survey is open to Oswego County residents who are 18 years of age or older. Responses are requested by the end of September 2024. To participate, interested individuals can email Oswegocountyoasascoalition@gmail.com to receive a link to the survey.

The Coalition is encouraging all residents to share their thoughts. "Any responses are greatly appreciated," added Travis Bulluck. "This is a unique opportunity for the community to help shape future prevention efforts."
