Matt Geitner

(SYRACUSE, NY) — Park Strategies, one of New York’s premier consulting and government relations firms, is pleased to announce that Central New York native Matt Geitner has joined the team as a Senior Advisor to lead its Syracuse office. Geitner brings decades of experience spanning both the public and private sectors, with a strong track record of success in government relations, public affairs, and business development across New York State.

Geitner has worked extensively with local, state, and federal officials, as well as business, economic development, and community leaders, helping to shape policy and foster meaningful public-private partnerships. For over a decade, he provided strategic counsel, including business development, to a Central New York-based national firm with architectural, engineering, and construction management practices.

His background also includes another ten years of experience in the healthcare sector, where he supported New York State companies specializing in emergency medical services, non-emergency medical transportation, and government-sponsored health insurance, navigating complex regulatory environments, and advancing client interests.

Most recently, Geitner served as Director of Government Relations for both a 300-member Central New York manufacturing trade group and a statewide coalition of seven regional manufacturing associations, advocating for the needs and priorities of New York’s manufacturing sector.

Geitner began his career as a legislative assistant at a government relations firm in Washington, D.C., later serving as deputy campaign manager for a U.S. House race in Central New York, and as a legislative assistant to the New York State Assembly Majority Leader.

“I am excited to bring my local relationships and working knowledge of Central New York to Park Strategies,” said Geitner. “I look forward to applying my experience in advocacy, economic and business development to support clients and local initiatives. There is nothing more rewarding than aligning community needs and goals with client innovation and expertise.”

Park Strategies continues to expand its deep bench of experts to deliver results-driven advocacy and strategic guidance for clients navigating today’s complex political and regulatory landscape, with a renewed focus on Central New York.
