As your organization and company advances scientific ideas and technology development into launchable products and platforms, simultaneously addressing a minimum set of commercial considerations are key to ensure lasting impact.

In this presentation, we will cover:

  1. Process to systematically move from a fuzzy front end to a well-defined business plan that will yield results with reduced residual risks.
  2. Focus on 4Cs: customers, channels, competition, commercial tactics.
  3. Measuring success broadly: patients served/life positively impacted, business growth, profitability, and other indicators.

Shanthi Ramakrishnan’s forte lies in developing breakthrough innovations, enabling access to life-saving technologies to global customers, and transforming companies for profitable growth. She founded Ignite Growth to serve entrepreneurs with strategic board advisory and operational support. Her career includes executive roles in large, publicly traded medical device companies, as well as small and early-stage ventures in the US and the EU. As a volunteer judge, mentor, coach, and advisor, she is engaged in several global incubators, accelerators, and academic institutions to advance development of medical and deep tech from multiple sources. She has a M.S. in Computer Engineering from University of Southern California and based in Boston, MA.
