Rosamond Gifford Zoo Invites Visitors to Sweet Treats EventPosted on February 5, 2024 |
In celebration of Valentine’s Day, the Rosamond Gifford Zoo will host its annual Sweet Treats event, in which animal care personnel will present heart-shaped and Valentine’s-themed enrichment items to the animals of the zoo.
These holiday treats serve as enrichment for the animals, stimulating their natural instincts while providing variety and intrigue to keep their bodies and minds healthy and engaged.\
“Everyone at the zoo loves receiving a Valentine’s – including the animals!” said Ted Fox, executive director of the zoo. “Sweet Treats gives our guests a greater understanding of animal enrichment, and the event always makes for an entertaining and educating day.”
Sweet Treats will take place from 10 – 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 11. The Rosamond Gifford Zoo looks forward to sharing this celebration with the zoo community. This event is free for members and with paid zoo admission.
