Solvay Bank Key Appointments: Derrick Reed and Carly DiSanto

(Syracuse, NY): Solvay Bank, the oldest community bank established in Onondaga County, announces the appointments of Derrick Reed as Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager for its DeWitt Office, and Carly DiSanto as an Operations Specialist.

Derrick Reed joins Solvay Bank with over a decade of experience in financial services, having been active in the industry since 2014. His past work experience includes roles at PNC Bank, Wells Fargo, and Lyons National Bank. Since 2019, he served as Supervisor of Member Services for Salt City Federal Credit Union (formerly ACMG), where he oversaw teams at their Solvay and Valley locations. Reed has demonstrated a strong commitment to the financial community, serving on the NYCUA Young Professionals Committee for four years, including two years as Secretary, and as a committee member of the NYCUA Central New York Chapter of Credit Unions for five years. Currently, he serves as Board President for the Auburn Players Community Theatre.

Carly DiSanto joins Solvay Bank with several years of experience in the banking industry, beginning her career in 2020. Her past work experience includes serving as a Branch Service Representative with Empower Federal Credit Union. DiSanto also served as Lead teller with KeyBank, where she was recognized for her outstanding performance as CNY Top Performer of 2023, Teller Star for April 2024, and received the Circle of Excellence in 2024. DiSanto holds an associate’s degree in science in Studio Art & Design from Cayuga Community College.
