SYRACUSE, NY – 10/14/2025 – Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists (SOS) today announced that it will host a free virtual community talk, “Your Shoulder Health: Exploring Arthritis Care and Surgical Advances,” on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 5:00PM to 6:00PM via Zoom.

During this one-hour session, SOS’s team of fellowship-trained shoulder physicians will present the latest developments in both nonsurgical and surgical treatments for shoulder arthritis and shoulder replacement. The goal of the webinar is to empower patients and caregivers with evidence-based information, demystify the treatment process, and provide a forum for questions.

Dr. Todd Battaglia, Dr. David DiStefano, Dr. Nathan Everding and Dr. Ryan Smart will cover topics including:

  • Non-surgical treatment options for shoulder arthritis, including physical therapy, injections, and the most current information regarding alternative treatments such as PRP and stem cell therapy.
  • Innovations in shoulder replacement, featuring the latest technologies and outcome data from the SOS research department.
  • What to expect during surgery and the recovery process, including physical therapy and how soon you can return to daily activities.
