Broadway in Syracuse

(Syracuse, NY) – Broadway In Syracuse is proud to announce its highly anticipated lineup for The 2026-2027 M&T Bank Broadway Season. Fresh to Syracuse and back by popular demand — this season brings four premieres and two iconic favorites to the stage.

Starting this September, the Landmark Theatre will welcome the following productions: JERSEY BOYS, HELL’S KITCHEN, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, THE WIZ, THE BODYGUARD, AND THE OUTSIDERS.

“These productions span generations and genres, but they all have the power to bring audiences together for a shared, live experience. That’s what makes Broadway so special, and we’re proud to continue bringing that to the Syracuse community,” said Albert Nocciolino, President of NAC Entertainment and presenter of Broadway In Syracuse.

“M&T Bank is proud to support another exciting Broadway season in downtown Syracuse. The arts bring people together, spark creativity and strengthen our local economy. We’re honored to help make these experiences possible and to continue investing in the cultural vitality that makes Central New York such a special place to call home,” said Steve Gorczynski, M&T Bank Central New York Regional President.

In addition to the six productions, it was announced that the first show of the 2026-2027 Season, JERSEY BOYS, will be teching, rehearsing, and building their production at the Landmark Theatre before their first performance— making Syracuse, New York the official launch city for the National Tour.

“We are thrilled to host the technical rehearsal of Jersey Boys. These technical rehearsals give a significant economic boost to our community and allow us to showcase the best of Syracuse,” said Mike Intaglietta, Executive Director of Syracuse Area Landmark Theatre.

JERSEY BOYS

September 8 - 12, 2026

Go behind the music and inside the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons in the Tony Award®-winning, original Broadway sensation, JERSEY BOYS.  From the streets of New Jersey to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, this is the musical that’s too good to be true. They were just four guys from Jersey, until they sang their very first note. They had a sound nobody had ever heard… and the radio just couldn’t get enough of. But while their harmonies were perfect on stage, off stage it was a very different story -- a story that has made them an international sensation all over again. The show features all their hits including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Oh What a Night,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “Beggin’” and “Working My Way Back to You.”

HELL’S KITCHEN

November 10 - 15, 2026

HELL’S KITCHEN, the award-winning Broadway musical created and inspired by 17-time Grammy® Award winning Alicia Keys, takes you on the journey of Ali – a 17-year-old girl full of fire. Relatable, raw, and refreshingly fun, it’s a celebration of finding yourself, your purpose, and the people who lift you up. The music—a mix of Keys’ greatest hits and new songs written exclusively for the show—and exhilarating choreography bring to life a story that speaks to you no matter where you’re from, where you’ve been, or where you’re going.  Feel the energy of this multi-award-winning musical and experience where dreams begin: HELL’S KITCHEN

THE SOUND OF MUSIC

December 15 - 20, 2026

For 65 years, THE SOUND OF MUSIC has been one of our “favorite things.” With its timeless story and irresistibly charming score, this Rodgers & Hammerstein classic isn’t just meant to be enjoyed - it’s meant to be shared. Directed by three-time Tony Award® winner Jack O’Brien (Hairspray), this vibrant and romantic tale of Maria and the von Trapp family features beloved songs like “Do-Re-Mi,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” and “Edelweiss.”

THE WIZ

March 9 - 14, 2027

The Tony® Award-winning Best Musical that took the world by storm is back.  THE WIZ returns “home” to stages across America in an all-new tour, direct from Broadway. The Baltimore Sun raves “Powerhouse performances. Stunning choreography. Visionary sets” and the Chicago Sun-Times proclaims THE WIZ is “An eye-popping and high-intensity revival!” This groundbreaking twist on The Wizard of Oz changed the face of Broadway—from its iconic score packed with soul, gospel, rock, and 70s funk to its stirring tale of Dorothy’s journey to find her place in a contemporary world. Everybody rejoice--this dynamite infusion of ballet, jazz, and modern pop brings a whole new groove to easing on down the road!

THE BODYGUARD

April 20 – 24, 2027

THE INTERNATIONAL, AWARD-WINNING SMASH-HIT MUSICAL THE BODYGUARD IS BACK!

Based on the 1992 film starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, THE BODYGUARD is a thrilling, romantic musical that combines high-stakes suspense with unforgettable music. Former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard, Frank Farmer, is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. Both expect to be in charge of their situation - what they don’t expect is to fall in love. A “BRILLIANT” (The Times), breathtakingly romantic thriller, THE BODYGUARD features a whole host of unforgettable classics including “Queen of the Night,” “So Emotional,” “I Will Always Love You,” “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” "Saving All My Love," and "One Moment in Time", alongside thrilling plot twists and emotional drama. THE BODYGUARD is an electrifying combination of romance, suspense and chart-topping music that will captivate audiences from start to finish.

THE OUTSIDERS

June 8 – 13, 2027

The winner of four 2024 Tony Awards®, including Best Musical, is THE OUTSIDERS. This classic coming-of-age story takes you to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1967, where Ponyboy Curtis, his best friend Johnny Cade, and their family of Greaser “outsiders” dream about who they want to become in a world that will never accept them. THE OUTSIDERS features Danya Taymor’s Tony Award winning direction that’s “refreshing, gritty, and endlessly effective.” (The New York Times). With “high-octane choreography” (New York Magazine), THE OUTSIDERS has been described as “more pulse-pounding than anything else on Broadway!” (Time Out New York).
