Terakeet named 5th Best Company to Work for in NY

Posted on August 5, 2020

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (August 7, 2020) – Rochester Business Journal, Best Companies Group, and the New York State Society for Human Resource Management’s (NYS-SHRM) have honored Terakeet as one of their Best Companies to Work for in 2020. The rankings were announced at a virtual awards event held on Wednesday, August 5. Terakeet took the 5th spot among medium-sized businesses at this year’s virtual award ceremony. Terakeet was last honored at the 2019 awards, where they placed 16th.

Created in 2007, this annual program evaluates and ranks the best places of employment in the State based on employee satisfaction and engagement, as well as workplace practices and policies. It is unique because employees’ survey responses count for 75% of the ranking formula, along with an evaluation of each registered company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics. The combined scores determine the top companies and which companies are included on the complete list. Best Companies Group (BCG) manages the overall registration and survey process and also analyzes the data to determine the final rankings.

Lynn Fraas, Chief People Officer said “It was an honor to attend this year’s virtual event, and be recognized along with many other distinguished New York companies. We are proud to know that our employees are also recognizing us for the culture we’ve cultivated at Terakeet.”

The Best Companies to Work for in New York State program is a partnership between the NYS-SHRM and Best Companies Group. The Presenting Sponsors of the 2020 awards were Bethpage Federal Credit Union and Ryan LLC; Major Sponsor was MVP Healthcare; Supporting Sponsors were Anchin and RBT.
