ITHACA, NEW YORK (September 14, 2023) – In a show of growth for its trust advising team, Tompkins Financial Advisors (TFA) announced the appointment of Heather L. Berry as vice president and trust officer in its Central New York market. Berry brings to Tompkins more than 20 years of paralegal and fiduciary experience and will be responsible for the administration of trusts for Tompkins’ new and existing clientele.
“Heather’s deep experience and dedication to her clients positions her as an impactful leader and advisor,” said Jennifer L. Green, senior vice president and managing director at TFA. “We are confident that her expertise will be of great benefit to both our clients and our internal teams.”
Prior to joining Tompkins, Berry served as a paralegal at Sugarman Law Firm, LLP, and a fiduciary strategist for Key Private Bank. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University, she also holds a Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor designation through the American Bankers Association. In her community, Berry serves as a Board Member and Sergeant at Arms for the Estate Planning Council of Central New York and is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Tompkins County. She is also a member of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York Board of Trustees and was previously named Volunteer of the Year. She currently resides in the Syracuse, New York area with her husband and daughter.
