Tompkins Trust Company to Host Virtual Small Business Workshop on May 20th

 

ITHACA– Tompkins Trust Company has announced it will be hosting a virtual Small Business Workshop on Thursday, May 20th from 6:00PM-7:00PM for those looking to start a new business or are existing small business owners seeking to grow their business.

 

Greg Hartz, President and CEO of Tompkins Trust Company, shared, “We are very pleased to offer this workshop to help residents and businesses thrive and grow on their financial journey.” Hartz added, “As Central New York’s community bank, we recognize the importance of supporting and providing these critical resources to our business community.”

 

Minority and women-owned business owners are encouraged to attend the workshop which will include a discussion on best practices, resources needed, and other information that may be required, so that you are ready and prepared when applying for financing. The workshop will also feature the criteria banks look at to mitigate their risk when giving a loan and will provide resources to help individuals and businesses get started. Please note, loans are subject to credit approval.

 

This workshop, which is a part of the Trust Company’s series of community events stemming from a company-wide focus on promoting equity within the communities in which it operates, will include a variety of presenters including: Justin Earl, Officer, Small Business Lending Manager, Alex Remizowski, Small Business Banking Associate, John Bauda, VP, Commercial Lending, Michael Buza, AVP, Credit Analysis Manager, Callyn Pyhtila, AVP, Branch Manager of West End and Cornell Branches, MLS 1147301, and Paula Valencia, Business Banking Administrative Supervisor.

An online First Time Homebuyers Seminar, which is the next installment of the Community Events Series,will be held on June 15th from 12:00PM-1:00PM to help first-time homebuyers navigate the various programs and services available to help start a home.
