Syracuse, NY – The annual United for Moms Drive, a community-wide effort to collect personal
care items for local women in need, has grown significantly in 2025. Organized by COR
Development Company, United Way of Central New York, Community Bank, and OneGroup, the
initiative now features even more collection sites across Central New York and an expanded
network of partners.

This year’s drive runs from April 1 - May 4, giving the community ample time to contribute to
this impactful cause. Donations of personal care items—including deodorant, body wash, socks,
lip balm, hair accessories, and more—are being accepted at new and returning collection
locations throughout the region. A full list of suggested donation items can be found at:
www.unitedwedomore.org/moms

All contributions will be sorted, packed, and distributed to local mothers by COR Development
and Community Bank employees on Tuesday May 6, 2025 just in time for Mother’s Day.

“This drive has continued to grow thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our community.
With more locations participating this year, we’re able to reach even more mothers who deserve
to feel valued and supported on Mother’s Day and beyond. COR Development is grateful for the
continued support from our community in making a tangible difference in the lives of local
mothers. Partnering with United Way of Central New York and Community Bank again has
amplified our reach, reflecting on the spirit of unity and generosity that defines our shared
commitment to supporting those in need.” said Merissa Lynch, Marketing Manager for COR
Development.

“When United Way of CNY created our Mother’s Day drive back in 2018, we were able to
assemble just a handful of gift bags. Last year, we were able to distribute more than 200 bags to
women throughout Central New York. Thanks to wonderful partners like like COR Development
(and their participating tenants), Community Bank, and OneGroup we’ve been able to answer
the need in a much bigger way. The support of our corporate partners, and the generosity of
their employees and customers is what makes this effort grow every year.” said Katie Hanlon,
Chief Community Officer of United Way of Central New York.

“Community Bank believes in the power of giving back to the communities in which we live and
work, and supporting organizations like United Way is an absolute privilege. We can collectively
make a meaningful impact in the lives of women in our community. Thank you to COR
Development for including us in the wonderful cause.” said Lindsay Weichert, Community Bank
Regional President of Central New York and United Way Board Member.
