Nave Law Firm Recognizes Food Bank of Central New York as September's Nave's Neighbor

Nave Law Firm is proud to recognize the Food Bank of Central New York as its September Nave's Neighbor, joining the nationwide observance of Hunger Action Month by shining a light on an organization leading the fight against food insecurity across the region.

Through its Nave Cares initiative, the Nave's Neighbors program spotlights organizations that strengthen the community through service, collaboration, and meaningful support. Each month, Nave Law amplifies one organization's mission and impact to help raise awareness and encourage community engagement.

Food Bank of Central New York is leading the effort to eliminate hunger through partnership, education, advocacy, and the distribution of nutritious food. During its most recent fiscal year, the Food Bank distributed more than 23 million pounds of food to partner agencies — including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and community partners — across an 11-county service area encompassing Central New York, Northern New York, and the Mohawk Valley.

The scale of need is significant. Within the Food Bank's service area, 1 in 7 individuals faces food insecurity. For children across those same 11 counties, that number rises to 1 in 5. These are not abstract statistics. They represent neighbors, classmates, and coworkers who are managing food insecurity alongside every other demand of daily life.

September is Hunger Action Month — a nationwide awareness initiative designed to mobilize the public to take meaningful action on hunger. Nave Law is participating by collecting food donations at its downtown Syracuse office throughout the month and encouraging members of the community to wear orange on September 9th, Hunger Action Day, in solidarity with those facing food insecurity.
