CenterState 'Germinator' competition will reward $600,000 to competing startups

Economic development company CenterState CEO has $600,000 up for grabs, it announced Friday. As part of a business competition titled "The Germinator," CenterState intends to give the money over a two-year period to six competing startups. All six competitors will receive a $10,000 initial investment, and then two teams will compete for a $100,000 grand prize to be decided in March 2017. By that time, Centerstate says, each of those two teams would have received a total of $150,000 through prior funding rounds. So the winner will have received total investments of $250,000 over the two-year period...
