Coronavirus: Task force to help Syracuse-area businesses survive ‘staggering’ downturn

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Local government and private-sector leaders have formed a task force to help businesses survive what Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh termed a “staggering” downturn caused by the coronavirus outbreak.
The city of Syracuse, Onondaga County, CenterState CEO and the Manufacturing Association of Central New York assembled the Economic Resiliency Task Force to devise strategies that will help businesses continue to operate and plan for the recovery when it comes. The eight-member task force will hold its first meeting this week.
