Economist: Central NY needs more workers

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Central New York’s economy is improving, but labor shortages could slow the gains, M&T Bank regional economist Gary Keith told about 600 people at CenterState CEO’s 2019 Economic Forecast Breakfast at the Oncenter Wednesday.

Keith said he expects the U.S. economy to slow from its robust performance in 2018, but that growth “should remain positive in the coming year, helping to propel the region forward once again in 2019.”
